Photography Bio
Scott DeMoney

Born in California at the heart of silicon valley, but native to nowhere. Currently paying rent in New York City.

Have had a camera in my hand since my I commandeered my father’s during trips to Yosemite. Photography became only a slight obsession, so today I’m the proud owner of four cameras – a Nikon D610, a Mamiya RZ67, a Minolta CLE, and a Nikonos V.

In addition to finding inspiration from all the incredible corners of the Earth I’ve been privileged enough to travel to, my inspiration comes from some obvious sources (Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell) and some less obvious ones – Simon Stålenhag, Pieter Brugel the Elder, and Claude Monet, to name a few.

Outside of (or often inclusive of) photography, I can often be found scuba diving, backpacking, or wherever good food and/or coffee is to be had (sometimes my kitchen).
